Gillian Chong is an auditor with Peter Chong & Co. with qualifications in accounting and financial management and a Masters in Counselling.
She is the co-founder of Agape Vision, an NGO that runs programs to empower youths who have suffered childhood physical and sexual abuse, neglect, abandonment or are at-risk, and aims to empower them as leaders in action in their family, schools and communities.
Gillian is passionate to see youths set free from the traumatic effects of childhood abuse and is frequently invited to speak and lecture on the subject of child abuse. She was privileged to attend the International Visitors Leadership Program on Recovering from Conflict and Trauma in 2019, meeting organizations who specialize in the treatment of people from various sectors who are suffering the effects of trauma. Under Agape Vision, Gillian has set-up and runs the first Residential Treatment Centre in Malaysia for the therapeutic treatment of teenage girls who have gone through childhood abuse and was invited to expand the RTC to a government centre for teenage mothers.
