Agape Vision is a volunteer-run society reaching out to at-risk youths who have been abused and marginalized in Malaysia,

with the vision to share agape love between the youths, volunteers and the community.

Our Aim

To empower youths to live their dreams and to be leaders of their lives, living to their fullest potential and making a difference in their families and communities.

How You Can Contribute

Agape Vision depends solely on donations and funds raised through fundraising projects as our source of funding for our programs.

Our Progress

Agape Vision has run programs for the youths we serve since July 2010, and were officially registered as a society with the Registrar of Societies on 27th July, 2012. Through a positive and encouraging approach, Agape Vision volunteers have supported around 200 youths to feel safe to process the abuse they have gone through, let go of defenses and behaviors that are hurtful, and practice new behaviors and skills will enable them to become confident, caring and empowered young adults who are leaders of themselves, their families and communities.

Therapy Methods / Approaches

Agape Vision employs choice theory in creating and facilitating our programmes for our youths.

The residential treatment centre provides abused teenagers with a therapeutic milieu in a residential setting and professional therapies to support the youths’ total healing from childhood abuse.

Agape Vision runs various programmes to support the development of the youths we serve:-

Youth Leadership Development

The Youth Leadership Development programme gives our youths the opportunity to participate in fun and challenging activities which aim to develop their leadership skills, to promote positive and creative thinking, and to prepare them to face and overcome challenges both in their daily lives as well as in their future.

Expedition Agape Malaysia

The Expedition Agape Malaysia programme aims to support our youths in their personal growth and development and to empower them to become contributing leaders to society through the employment of character building as well as community service activities.

Theatre of Dreams

The Theatre of Dreams programme aims to empower youths to find their voice by sharing their story through the medium of performing arts. During the programme, the youths are provided with a safe space to process their past experiences and supported to share these experiences with others, grow in self-confidence, and to develop a stronger sense of self.

LIFE

LIFE programme empowers youths to take charge of their personal safety and to make informed choices. LIFE equips the youths with knowledge of their rights, personal body safety and safer sex practices.

@dulting

Programme @dulting aims to prepare youths from welfare homes in Malaysia for independent living when they leave welfare homes.

Residential Treatment Centre (RTC)

The Residential Treatment Centre (RTC) provides a caring, safe and structured group home environment for youths who have suffered the trauma of childhood abuse.
